Companies have been exposed to great challenge due to the fierce market competition and fast changing market itself. Traditional organization structure becomes less adaptive to the needs of quick reaction. Stresses from the development of information, technology and market have drive the companies to move on from the conventional management system to some powerful instrument for organizational reform-team. Teams have been providing strong support to organizational revolution like flat organization structure design or business process reengineering.Many scholars have focused on the research of improving team effectiveness as team becomes more and more popular in companies because team effectiveness is of great importance to the development of companies. Existing research have mostly focused on the impact of team effectiveness from team interaction, hoping to find out ways to improve team effectiveness through lifting the vile of team interaction. However, there are many more factors than just team interaction that is relevant to team effectiveness. Some research pointed out that design of team mission, like team interdependence, has direct influence to team effectiveness. This provides a brand new point of view that team effectiveness can be maintained at a high level through better team design when setting up a new team. This has important implications for companies, organizations and scholars.The theme of this thesis is to recover the impact team interdependence has to team effectiveness. Literature reviewing and theoretical derivation helped to come to the dimensions of team effectiveness and team interdependence. A model of how the combination of task interdependence and outcome interdependence influences team effectiveness is proposed and this model is used to a company to verify the theoretical model and provide reference for the future.The conclusion of this thesis is:the uniform of task interdependence and outcome interdependence, the two dimension of team interdependence, can promote team effectiveness. Thus, companies should keep one dimension of team interdependence in line with the other dimension for better team effectiveness.
