Chinese tobacco industry, as an administrative monopoly industry, is supposed to fulfill the social obligations and national responsibilities. It employs the management system of unified leadership, vertical management and monopoly operation. Tianjin Tobacco Group (hereinafter referred to as the "Group") is an organization under the China National Tobacco Corporation. The group’s main business includes the sale of tobacco products as well as other related business. As an important part of the group’s financial report, fixed assets’management level produces a direct impact on the group’s business performance. Therefore, it is essential to optimize and improve Tianjin Tobacco Group’s fixed assets management process.By sorting out Tianjin Tobacco Group’s current fixed assets management process and specifically analyzing the status quo of the management, this paper attempts to discover various problems, face the weakness in the process, propose improvement suggestions and methods, put them into practice in the fixed assets’management and finally draw up a set of relatively complete and reasonable fixed assets’management process, to ensure the normal operation of business and great improvement of management level. These methods can be expected to be extended to the management of other companies of the same category.Comparing the fixed assets’ management process before and after the optimization, the author makes improvement in the following three aspects:1. implementing fixed assets’ purchase and scrap plan management; 2. clarifying the fixed assets’supervision department who is in charge of the fixed assets management work under the category; 3. implementing hierarchical management of fixed assets according to the original value of fixed assets. Through the improvement of the three aspects above, Tianjin Tobacco Group’s fixed assets management level has been significantly improved.
