Research On Enterprise Efficiency Of Small Batch Multiple Variant Production

From last ten years till now, the domestic services of electronic manufacturing has been developed gradually. It has brought fierce competition in this industry. Electronic manufacturing service(EMS) is corresponding to the original equipment manufacturer(OEM). These manufacturers pick up OEM’s orders by their advanced manufacturing ability, and become OEM’s manufacturers. It’s why they are called EMS enterprise. With the expansion of the industry scale and improvement of their professional ability, EMS is also becoming an individual industry.Now prosperous EMS industry has been involved in almost all the industrial, medical, aerospace fields, such as digital products, electronic products, medical equipment, aerospace equipment and military products and so on. With the escalation of market competition, small and medium-sized enterprises are unable to keep up with the fast-paced industry. They are gradually merged or eliminated. Left manufacturers are constantly expanded and become the industry leader by enlarging the scale of economy. But scale enlarge is not only an opportunity but also a challenge. It will be faced with global economic competition and internal challenge. For remaining an invincible position in the market, every company has to rely on the latest situation of the industry development and their own characteristics to set suitable strategic objectives and management idea. Then they can constantly improve their own ability and competitiveness.This paper takes the branch company in China of world’s top five hundred from EMS industry(W company) as a case. It discussed the definition and importance of enterprise efficiency for small batch multiple variant production. It is mainly based on the research from numerous domestic and international scholars. I also put forward some improvements from the production process, quality management and organizational aspects of W company’s current operation management and existing problems. Such as the assimilation and facilitation for manufacturing process, the similarity and compatibility for product process, the optimization and upgrading for production system, quality improvement and the enhancement of personnel quality and ability. These improvements are expected to further improve the efficiency for the operation of the enterprise, to continuously reduce costs and increase the utilization of resources.
