Challenges & Suggestions To Low Carbon Ecology City Construction Of Wuxi Taihu New City

With the increasing challenge of global climate changing, the idea of low carbon ecological development emerges at a historic moment, gradually becoming the common trend and recognized direction of domestic and international city development. This paper tries to do deep analysis of the exploration of Wuxi Taihu New City’s low carbon ecological construction, in order to discuss the optimal path and strategy suggestions of low carbon ecological city construction development.Firstly, this paper interprets the understanding of low carbon ecological city’s connotation, based on the analysis and summary of the emergence and development of the idea of domestic and international low carbon ecology, emphasizing that accurately grasping the connotation of low carbon ecological city is the base of obtaining actual effect in low carbon ecological city construction.Secondly, this paper summarizes and analyzes the progress and challenge of Wuxi Taihu New City’s low carbon ecological city construction, pointing out that only by stressing absorbing the experience of the construction of domestic and international cities and proceeding from reality local conditions can we explore a successful way of low carbon ecological city construction.Finally, this paper offers systematic suggestions on how to find the optimal path of constructing low carbon ecological city, hoping to provide a reference for Wuxi Taihu New City and other domestic cities’low carbon ecological development. It includes strengthening government leading and planning guide, enhancing propagation of the idea of the ecological civilization and low carbon ecological culture, promoting industry development patterns low carbonized, speeding up the construction of low carbon ecological city’s major project, intensifying the reform of built-up area’s low carbonization, advocating low carbon behavior and life style, and so on.
