With the increasingly fierce market competition, how to adapt to the complex and changing external environment and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises is one of the key problems of enterprises which needs special attention in the development of enterprises. How to take a series of effective innovation behavior has become one of the most important source of competitive advantage. However, as any enterprises can’t carry out innovation activities in a closed environment, the enterprises usually need timely access to effective resources and ability such as technology, knowledge and information in the formation of business network with other similar enterprises. The social network means that different enterprises are able to establish links in the interaction between each other and realize effective resource acquisition, and meanwhile, the innovation behavior is often embedded in the social network formed by the interaction of different enterprises, this provides a good perspective to study how social networks influence innovation behavior of enterprises.As the enterprise domination group of resource autonomy, executives usually have an important impact on enterprise’s innovation cognition, attitude and the inclined direction to guide enterprise resources to innovation action. The social network is able to help different executives to realize the transfer and sharing of knowledge and information resources in communication and interaction, thus have an important impact on executives’ decision preference, cognitive mode and behavior orientation on innovation, based on which executives can make survey and analysis of enterprise innovation in a more open perspective, and makehigh-quality and creative innovation decision, finally have an important influence on the enterprise innovation behavior.This paper, based on the mechanism of relationship between the executives’ social network of state-owned banks and the banking innovation behavior from the perspective of social network structure as the research object, empirical research and social network analysis as the main research methods, selecting 8 state-owned listed banks and its executives during the period from year 2006 to 2013 as research samples, makes an empirical study of the influence mechanism of executives’ social network of state-owned banks on banking innovation behavior.This study is divided into five parts. Part of introduction, introduces the research background and significance of the research, based on the definition of key concepts, puts forward the research ideas, main research contents, the research methods, and research innovation. Chapter 1, part of literature review, reviews and summarizes the social network theory, related theory on enterprise innovation and relationship between social network and enterprise innovation. Chapter 2, part of research hypothesis and research design, puts forwards to the research hypothesis from two research angle of relationship characteristics and structure features of social network.Study design mainly involves the definition and measurement on research variables, the design of theoretical model,and necessary introductions of sample selection and data collection. Chapter 3, part of hypothesis testing and results discussion, draws the diagram of sample enterprise executive social network structure and calculates the characteristics ofexecutives’ social network based on sample enterprises with UCINET 6.0, and performs statistical analysis on the relationship between the sample enterprise executives characteristics of social network and enterprise innovation behavior with SPSS 19.0. Chapter 4, part of conclusion and outlook section, comes to the conclusion of the study based on the hypothesis testing and robustness testing, combined with the extraction and analysis of specific problems,then comes to the future research prospect.
