Workforce resources are one of the most important factors that can influence economic growth in a country, so the size and structure of population will naturally affect a nation’s future economic performance. Since China launched the reform and opening-up policy in 1978, China’s economy has maintained rapid growth which is closely related to China’s adequate workforce resources. However, as the "Shortage of migrant workers" phenomenon emerged and rural migrant workers’ wage increased continually in 2004, international and domestic academics began to carry out much beneficial research about whether China reached the Lewis turning point. So this has a definite significance in both theory and reality when exploring the exact timing of China’s Lewis turning point.Author will firstly analyze the developmental level of the Chinese economy, demographic structure and labor markets in the paper. Then author will conduct an empirical analysis on China’s workforce market according to the Minami principles. Finally the article will draw some conclusions and policy suggestions. Generally speaking, in this paper author aims to make a judgement on whether China has arrived the Lewis turning point, so as to make contribution to economic development in China.
