East Anglia is a vital region of agricultural production in England. it’s indispensible part in development of England economy. Particularly this region is the primary rear of English agriculture revolution. East Anglia also is a relativity isolated geographical unit has especial historical development. There ware lots of changes took place in later middle ages. Laborer who worked in arable production changed their original images. All those changes having happened in the region of East Anglia were a necessary phase and lie the foundation for development of agricultural economy.This article is divided into three parts that analyzing and exploring situation and changes of arable economy in the region of East Anglia. Part Ⅰ discusses the situation of land and laborers. The distributions of soil locally differ and influences the vegetation of surface, the planting corps and inhabitation of people. Facing to loss of soil fertility, peasant promoted and kept soil fertility by foldage, spreading lime, peat, and manure, planting leguminous crops. The fallow was ploughed frequently. The transfer of land was accomplished by various ways contain land inheritance, land endow, marry bond, land tenant, land lease and land market. Finally, a new pattern institution of land transfer was formed as the leading of land lease and buying or selling land. The population declined because of people suffering from famine, plague and wars in 14 th. The changes of economical circumstance make lord and peasant take measure differently. Lord managed demesne indirectly and Peasant then can achieve opportunities of developing yourself. On the one hand, they can hold land by different precondition; on the other hand, they can work in non-agricultural occupies or work as wage laborer. The ground of complex economical environment peasant economy had begun polarization. Part Ⅱis an overview of the process of field-systems being applied to arable production in East Anglia. The systems applied include open field system, fold system, enclosure and in-out field system. Field-systems do not only rule of planting, but also refer to the distributing of power and resources. They are not isolated or opposed, but compatible with each other. We can learn about arable production connected with pasture production by the four field systems being compared. Part Ⅲ talks about constructed arable production, the changes of arable economy and the assistant form of arable economy. There is no essential difference between lord and peasants about cultivating agricultural plants include cereal plants, drink plants, the plants of industrial staff and some cash plants. People’s dining consumptions increased in wheat bread, male and meat, indicting more land was used as wheat and barley planting. In this period, the rising of livestock breeding, appearing proto-industry and developing overseas economy drown attention of lord and yeoman. They shift their capital from agricultural production to business capital and manufactory capital. The characters of arable economy, field systems and the advantages of pasture economy promoted the rising of livestock husbandry. The reason why pasture production can’t completely takes the place of arable production is that pasture production has some shortages can’t overcome by itself. The two economical formations depend on each other and must coexist. Their complementary features outweigh their competition.
