Knowledge economy is increasingly becoming an important economic form in the 21 st century. In the situation of increasingly strained resources at ambient conditions around the world and companies, knowledge of the competition occupy a prominent position in the design process of innovation. Patent battle frequent outbreaks worldwide, and international patent wars often occur.Innovation is the key to the design. Design needs to anticipate and predict product life cycles and position in the life cycle, and explore new ways to solve the original problems. Get new knowledge based on the existing knowledge. Try a variety of methods to get a collection of solutions to the original question, and express the essence of the principle or knowledge of such programs finally.Patent, which contains most rich information as a kind of knowledge carriers, is an important resource for innovative design knowledge. How to effectively use these patents are needed to solve the problems in the innovative design process. It discusses the concept of innovative design. We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of both the theory of inventive problem solving TRIZ and systematic design SAPB same elements exist, and compare them from a functional and works with both arguments. Integration of TRIZ and patent knowledge of the design process makes rational use of patent information, solve design problems easier. Construction of a kind of SAPB as the main design process. This paper discusses the application of TRIZ-Theory of Inventive Problem Solving as a theoretical tool to make tacit knowledge explicit of patent, and easy to store, manage, access. Externalization process to mainly extract the Inventive Principle, Technical Parameters, Conflict Information,Separation Principle, Functional Structure, Substance-Field, Standard, Function Base in patents.This article build a method that is building the patents knowledge base to support product innovation design. Infringement of the design plan, ensuring innovative design solutions to avoid ineffective or even blind design and losses caused by the infringement of patent infringement, compare with patent knowledge base on the basis of patents on knowledge acquisition.Finally, this project complete the development of Patents Knowledge Management System for Innovative Design, PKMS. Establish patent libraries in the database based on SAPB design and apply on example of designing portable cotton picker.
