A Preliminary Study On The "Big District,Small Town" New Model Of Tourism Planning And Design

By taking an actual project in Hainan Sandao town as a case study, the paper tries to study and explore a new model of tourism resort planning about "Big District, Small Town".Firstly, the paper researches national and international existing situation and shortcomings about tourist resort planning, and analyzes the problems and market trend in the tourism development in Hainan, by various ways of Literature information collection, On-site- investigation,cases study and so on. Then the paper brings out “Big District, Small Town" new model for tourist resort planning. Based on core—bridge principle, tourism sustainable development principle, “Big District, Small Town” is to build a sustainable tourism planning model that the scenic areas, small town, villages will be collaboratively developed. The mode emphasizes, “Big District” is an attractive, comprehensive scenic area relying on core resources; “Small Town” is the tourist towns and villages with geographical features relying on big scenic area.Secondly, by analyzing tourism resources, villages status in Sandao town, the paper concentrates a deeply research on " Big District" which is about the planning concept and the overall layout of the theme scenic area, and on " Small Town " which concludes detailed planning and landscape design of the featured village. Then it is discussed in detail in the “Big District, Small Town” new model with a strategic development. These strategies conclude four parts which are coordinated regional development, urban and rural development, ecological system integration and complete industrial system.By reorganizing the natural, ecological, humanistic and social resources, precise positioning, integrating with landscape concept and finally it will be forward-looking tourism planning. The tourism planning of Sandao town will realize the coordinated development of the whole region and will make farmers get benefits.Last but not the least, the paper gets a conclusion about how to improve to solve problems, such as a few villagers' environmental awareness insufficiently and the agricultural products sold at high price secretly and so on.
