Performance management is the key content of human resource.Building the good performance management system is the guarantee that carries out the business enterprise target and employee’s personal target. The good performance management system can create the employee’s high performance level, promoting the fast development of the business enterprise.Because, the good performance management system can provide the good occupation development space for the staff, can moderate the staff’s personal target and the business enterprise target, promoting the staff’s initiative to improve the operating efficiency.As a state own company, STGF specializes in the manufacture and sale of construction machinery products and related spare parts. Since the beginning of this "The12th five-year plan", STGF stepped into the development period. To satisfy the rising higher standard and increase the economic efficiency, the company focused on the management improvement which was called “lean manufacturing, improve quality and efficiency”. And in performance management field, STGF start carrying out the performance management system based on KPI and also presented the key performance assessment index for company. How to establish the Performance Management system suitable for Materials Forming Division based on company’s performance system becomes a big problem to solve. It shows the more practical significance to the STGF Forming Division in transformation period.After the introduction of the relevant theories about Performance management, the article investigated the current performance management system in STGF Forming Division,it adopts comparative analysis method,and the satisfaction survey method,and the field investigation method,etc. The paper explores the problems existed in the STGF’s performance management system through analyzing the survey results. It optimizes the management system in STGF Forming Division aimed to strengthen the effective control and fulfill with the lower cost and the more benefit, optimized the performance management organization and responsibility system, performance indicator and goal system, performance system and performance management system through modulating KPI and compensation system.
