Research Of The Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Residents In Jiangsu Province

Nearly thirty years, the material level of our country made a remarkable achievements,but the income gap between urban and rural residents has been gradually expanded which attract our attention.And the gap will affect the vitality of the national economic operation, which will also bring some problems. So how to improve the level of material life and narrow the income gap at the same time,which is a complex and difficult task,need a further study.This article select Jiangsu as a representation. Jiangsu as a province in our country which economical development reaches the middle-upper level, and with a good economic development. Because of the special geographical position and different development between different areas,Jiangsu has been divided into three regions, southern, middle and north Jiangsu.But there are three different development level in these regions.How to explore the differences between urban and rural areas in jiangsu, We should analysis the reasons,and give some policy. It is in a great significance to further enhance economic vitality and to coordinate development in Jiangsu.In this paper, we choose the relevant data of 1980 to 2013 in jiangsu province of urban and rural residents income. in southern jiangsu, central, northern different situation to make a comparative analysis of economic development, build the ARMA model about the gap between urban and rural areas, and then explore the trend in jiangsu province in next few years; with the panal data of 2000-2013 to do some analysis, build the VAR model, and then explore the reasons for regional differences and put forward measures.It is concluded that ARMA(3,0) is an appropriate time series model of urban and residents income gap.This model can predict next five years this gap will be further expanded.But in face of such gap,we need to take measures adjust local conditions.In the current the urbanization in north jiangsu area is effective for narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas, and in southern jiangsu, the urbanization process should be taken steadily, In the current we need to weaken the dual economic structure in the region of north jiangsu, while in south of jiangsu, the income gap between urban and rural areas at present was not significant influenced by the dual economic structure, but the next few years we will attach importance to the influence of the factors.In view of the three regions of different development status,the targeted advice is given based on the different areas.The five cities in southern jiangsu belong to the "Shanghai an hour economic circle", relying on the advantage of Yangtze river delta urban agglomeration, introduce high quality enterprise, to do the upgrade of industrial structure;the radiation for middle and north jiangsu is not obvious, Shanghai should promote middle and north jiangsu to realize the industrialization, accelerating the establishment of the two regional pillar enterprises, also to do vocational training to the farmers in middle and north jiangsu, make rural surplus labor force to cities, the emphasis should be to promote the construction of the rural, make the north jiangsu farmers’ social security better.This further enhance the economic vitality of jiangsu province.It is of great significance to achieve the coordinated development of various regions of jiangsu province.
