Research On Inventory Management Of SDDJ Group Overseas Power Plant Construction Project Corporation Based On VMI

The goal of this research is aimed on a study and an analysis on SDDJ Group, whom as a specific sample enterprise in overseas power plant construction field, combedding its material management status quo of power plant construction project abroad, and the feasibility of implementing VMI(Vendor Managed Inventory) in SDDJ Group. The research work of this paper on VMI implement and evaluation is vital to theoretical reference value as well as practical guiding significance.Presently, as the global economic integration period, all enterprises in China are facing the problem of “going out”, so it is critical important for Chinese enterprises to know the way of reducing cost and increasing benefits with the purpose of enhancing the ability of competitiveness. At present, the competition among enterprises has ascended from individuals to supply chains. Therefore, VMI, an inventory management mode base on keeping per attended company in closest cooperation within the supply chain, in order to obtains great development and progress at this stage. With nearly 20 years’ research and application, the role of VMI which can take effect on enterprises and entire supply chains has been fully verified both from theory and application. The application of this mature model to SDDJ Group’s power plant construction project abroad will play a vital role in enhancing its level of inventory management, reducing its backlog of goods, and thus realizing its purpose of“reducing cost and improving efficiency “as well as making profits from material management.By researching background and significance, this study summarizes and designs in research status quo of native and abroad. By combining the study of theory on supply chain management, inventory management and VMI with concrete problems existing in power plant construction project abroad of SDDJ Group, this research analyzes the feasibility which implements VMI in SDDJ Group, and come to a conclusion that the measures are viable.Since the confirmation that the VMI is feasible, implementation schemes are designed for SDDJ Group. Beginning from VMI implementation goal and principle, schemes analyze and even plan the way of inventory reserves, operation process, ordering process as well as evaluation of VMI implementation, and design the specific steps. Then, the research statespossible difficult questions in the process of carrying out VMI in SDDJ Group, and discuss their solutions. At the end of the research, it summarizes contents of the thesis, and also prospects SDDJ Group’s development of putting VMI into effect in the future.
