When bancassurance disputes happen, the banks and insurance companies often do not want to see that situation, because when a dispute event occurs, the reputation of banks and insurance companies tend to be greatly affected. In China, poor reputation, people’s trust for the institution will decline, consumers will not choose to go to the insurance company again, and also will not go to the bank to save money, insurance companies and banks will suffer a serious impact in the normal running operation. This paper select one branch of the S Life Insurance Co., Ltd.(in this paper referred to as ‘S Life Insurance Company’) dispute case,the dispute happened between the A Bank and S Life Insurace Company, and the two companies often suffer bancassurance disputes, and thus that is a typical case.If well analyzed the basic causes of the bancassurance disputes, we will not only be able to control the impact of the dispute on the insurance company and the bank’s reputation, but also will promote the rapid development of the bancassurance market.In the process of analysis, mainly analyse from the perspective of responsibility of S Life Insurance Company, the A Bank and the consumers.The analysis involves the reason of disputes and afterwards solutions, etc.,and the paper mainly analyse from the perspective of S Life Insurance Company.Every typical case always has profound reasons, the case reveals the presence of the many bancassurance problems in our country. Such as the dispute caused by bancassurance products, including the complaints of disputes,consumers terminating the contract of insurance,all of these may be because consumers have insufficient understanding of bancassurance products and thus cause misleading;the sales channel of bancassurance product is pretty less than other products, most choose to set up sales branch in the bank, rather than set up sales branch in the insurance companies or other financial institutions, thus the sales of bancassurance products have some restrictions; the responsibilities of banks and insurance companies are not clear, when disputes arise, banks and insurance companies evade each other, unwilling to assume their responsibilities and so on.Through careful analysis of the causes of these problems, and then will analyze substantial or policy reasons.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of the topic, literature review, structure and innovation of the paper. The second chapter is a case presentation, firstly describe the background of the case, and then introduce all the details of the case occurred. The third chapter, firstly identify specific analysis of the case from the perspective of liability, and then analyze the negative impact of disputes brought,then arrive at the root cause of the dispute occurred. The fourth chapter, learn the experience from other disputes related to bancassurance, and then propose corresponding solutions.Finally,the last chapter,concludes.
