Countermeasures To Accelerate The Economic Development Of Border Trade In Jilin Province

Since the 21 st century, the world economic development has presented in a trend of regionalization and integration, resulting in that countries are actively exploring new ideas of regional economic development. China has done a lot of fruitful efforts in regional economic development, especially in opening up in the border trade and opening dozens of large and small trading port. The boarder trade can promote industrial transformation and adjustment of economic structure. In addition, the development of enterprises in boarder can strengthen borderland countries to live in harmony and has important significance for promoting development of border cities.As an important province of economic development in Northeast China, Jilin Province is bordered by Russia and North Korea. Hence, vigorously developing border trade of Jilin province has important significance for promoting growth of Jilin border areas and establishing diplomatic relations with North Korea and Russia. However, it has some negative problems like bad situation of boarder trade and imperfect resource utilization when conducting boarder trade in these years. This paper studies economic development of border trade of Jilin and provides strategy for promoting economic development of border trade of Jilin In the context of constantly development of Chinese border trade.There are four sections in this paper.First section states relevant concepts and significance of Jilin Province border trade. In this part, it mainly introduces definition and characteristics of border trade and definition of Jilin border trade. Meanwhile, several good aspects for acceleration of Jilin Province border trade are discussed, which are benefit for building economic growth point of Eastern Area of Jilin Province; are benefit for promoting economic development of hinterland of Jilin Province; are benefit for improving China’s international influence in Northeast Asia. The whole process of Jilin border trade can be understood trough introducing development history of Jilin Province boarder trade in three different stages.Second section states present development situation, problem and reason analysis of Jilin border trade. In this part, it gives an analysis for development present situation, occurred problem and reason of Jilin border trade. Meanwhile, economic structure of Jilin province border trade, border trade economic development environment, resource and industry structure and local government policies analyzed in a comprehensive way. Third section states border trade economic development characteristics of Chinese border provinces and area and enlightenment for Jilin Province border trade. Through mastering border trade development characteristics of Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia and Southwest China, the enlightenment for Jilin province border trade shall be summarized.Fourth section states countermeasures for acceleration of Jilin province border trade. In this part, four ways can achieve development objective of acceleration of Jilin border trade. First is that a good border trade economic development environment can be created by acceleration and perfect of international transportation hub. Second is that to make Jilin province economy better taking advantage of unique geographical advantage of Hunchun-Mahalino railway port. Third is that to break limitations and promote optimization and upgrading of border trade by linkage development. Fourth is to perfect monetary settlement systems.
