Project Management In CV ECU System Development And Industrialization

With the release of diesel China IV Emission Regulation on 1st July 2013, the traditional mechanical control engine system has been unable to meet this new regulation for cleaner emission, replaced by electronic control engine system with more precise injection and far cleaner emission.Author led the team and spent more than 2 years on design and development efforts to complete the China IV/V ECU development and industrialization. The Theme describes the process of ECU development and industrialization with the example of customized China IV/V ECU development and industrialization. And, it brings up the concept and mode of platform design, which reduces the timing of development and has better control on quality and cost; Besides, specific environmental tests for commercial vehicle ECU is used; In project management, the schedule, product cost and quality were well controlled by using the project management theory based on PLC Gate and series electronic enterprise project management tools. And the ECU production uses advanced automatic process.Currently, the development and industrialization have been completed and released to SOP phase. And series products have been released to market together with the vehicles of F and W companies. In addition, the project’s success also broke the monopoly mode that ECU system was supplied in the form of whole system solution by foreign automotive giants.
