Research On Differences Of City Domain Tourism Development In Liaoning Province

In recent years, with the improvement of the country’s socio-economic development level, Liaoning province grasps the strategic opportunities of rejuvenation of the Old Industrial Base of Northeast China, and the tourism industry of Liaoning province has got a rapid development. By the end of 2014, the total tourism revenue of Liaoning province has reached 528.95 billion yuan, up 13.8%, of which domestic tourism revenue reaches 519.02 billion yuan, an increase of 14%, and tourism foreign exchange earnings has been reached1.62 billion dollar, an increase of 1.7%. But in the process of rapid development of the tourism industry in Liaoning province, the level of development of tourism industry under the jurisdiction of 14 cities is varies. Differences in social and economic development, the historical and cultural conditions, and even in the natural conditions could result in the differences of the level of tourism industry development around the city. In recent years, the differences on the level of tourism industry development around the city have been more significant and the regional differences have been clearer. The level of tourism industry development reflected the difference of regional development. Thus, the research on the differences of tourism industry around the city in Liaoning province is conducive to coordinate the development of tourism industry between the cities and to narrow the gap of tourism industry development level effectively. There has been an vital meaning for the rapid development of tourism industry in Liaoning province.The paper, taking Liaoning province for example, the 14 cities as direct research objects, domestic tourism income, tourism foreign exchange earnings, domestic tourism trips, inbound tourism trips, tourism revenues and the percentage of total tourism revenue in the GDP as measurement index, applies SPSS19.0 for principal component analysis, calculates the comprehensive score, measures the level of tourism industry around the city and then assesses the differences on the level of tourism industry development. And then from the perspective of the tourism resources endowment, tourism facilities, tourism traffic and the level of social economic development, which are regarded as tourism industry development external conditions, the paper conducts the correlation between the external conditions and the level of tourism industry, which is to discuss that whether it has been an significant correlation between the external conditions and the level of tourism industry. At last, the paper proposes the countermeasures and the future development direction for every city, basing on the four external conditions and the analysis on the mass data, which could effectively promote the coordinated development of tourism industry in Liaoning province.First, the differences on the level of tourism industry are large among cities in Liaoning province. The level of city domain tourism industry development from high to low was Shenyang, Dalian, Dandong, Benxi, Jinzhou and Huludao, Fushun, Anshan, Liaoyang, Yingkou, Panjin, Tieling, Fuxin, Chaoyang. From the perspective of the spatial pattern, the level of tourism industry development is emerged the superiority from southeast coastal cities to the northwest inland cities. And from the perspective of the whole level of tourism industry development, the development of tourism industry in Liaoning province is basically taken Shenyang and Dalian as two growth pole and the growth pole cities could drive the development of tourism industry of the other cities. Shenyang and Dalian are better cities in the aspect of the development and belongs to the first tier level. Fushun, Benxi, Dandong, Jinzhou and Huludao are relatively general level of tourism industry and belongs to the second tier level. Anshan, Yingkou, Fuxin, Liaoyang, Tieling, Panjin and Chaoyang are relatively backward level of tourism industry and belongs to the third tier level.Secondly, from the perspective of the external conditions factors of city domain tourism industry development, tourism resources endowment indicator(including the number of scenic spots, the monopoly degree index of scenic and tourism resources index), tourism facilities index(including the number of tourist hotels and the number of travel agency), tourist traffic development indicator(including highway passenger traffic volume, the railway passenger traffic volume, the amount of transmission of civil aviation, port passenger volume) and social and economic development level indicator(including per capita GDP, per capita disposable income of urban residents, fixed asset investment, local fiscal expenditure) are made correlation analysis with the city domain tourism industry development index. The result shows that other 12 measurements are associated with a significant index of regional tourism industry development except the index of per capita GDP.Finally, according to the level of city domain tourism industry development and the external conditions factors in Liaoning province, the paper put forward the future development direction about the tourism industry development and countermeasures and suggestions of every city from the provincial perspective of the tourism industry to coordinate the development, city domain perspective of tourism industry development and the differences on the level of the tourism industry development in Liaoning province.
