Establishment Of Project Governance Structure And Design Of Governance Mechanism For Network Equipment ODM Enterprise

With the increasingly fierce global competition, in order to survive and develop in this competitive situation, network equipment ODM enterprise must obtain the advantages in technology and cost, so innovation is particularly important, project activities as means of innovation are very significant, Presently the pressure of project is increasing, and the current project management theory can not be fully fit for this situation, so the rise of project governance become necessary. In recent years, there have been several reports about project governance theory within domestic countries and foreign countries, However, the development and research history is short,and the research of project governance mainly focus on government investment projects, public projects and construction projects, the research and application of project governance in network equipment ODM enterprise are extremely rare, almost not involved, Given that there are difference on project governance between network equipment ODM enterprises and construction enterprises, the introduction of project governance to the network equipment manufacturing is very meaningful.Base on the previous experts’ research, and combine with the project features of network equipment ODM Enterprise, and from the research perspective of project governance, this paper uses the ways of literature analysis, comparative analysis and case analysis to do the study in order to work out the result, it provides effective and new solutions to improve the project performance in network equipment ODM enterprises.The research of this paper:firstly, it has analyzed the current situation of network equipment ODM enterprise, and then it has clarified the research purpose and meaning of this paper, also it has stated the research ideas and methods of this paper. Secondly, it has reviewed and evaluated the experts’study on project governance, and the experience and lessons of project governance structure in classical literature are summarized. thirdly, it has analyzed the project characteristics of network equipment ODM enterprise,also has done the comparison between network equipment ODM enterprise’s project governance and construction enterprise’s project governance, it recognized the idea that the project governance structure of construction enterprise could not simply be applied to the network equipment ODM enterprise, so it try to build the project governance structure of network equipment ODM enterprise. Fourthly, by comparing the network equipment ODM enterprise’s project governance mechanism and its corporate governance mechanisms, the similarities and differences between them are discovered, following the concept of corporate governance mechanisms this paper has designed the project governance mechanisms for network equipment ODM enterprise. Finally, it has done the case study on A company, the improvement solution are put forward for it.The conclusion of this paper:base on the project characteristics of network equipment ODM enterprise and the project governance theory in classic literature, it has built the project governance structure of network equipment ODM enterprise; Standing the point on the theory of corporate governance mechanisms and combing with the project features of network equipment ODM enterprise, it has designed the project governance mechanisms of network equipment ODM enterprise. The inadequacies of this paper is that it is a preliminary attempt to do the research on project governance of network equipment ODM enterprise, this subject still need to do further study,and its theory needs more practice to test.
