Research On The Development Of The Family Farm In Ningxia

As a new agriculture management model, family farm is gradually showing a great superiority, which is easy to spread the use of agriculture machinery and technology, beneficial to carry out market-oriented production orders, promote the rational optimal allocation of agricultural land resources, and accelerate the transfer process of rural surplus labor. It is undoubtedly an ideal model for future agricultural production and management in China.In recent years, with the mass migration of rural labors and orderly farmland transfer in the vast rural areas in Ningxia, it created the prerequisite for land concentration and scale of operation. It had achieved remarkable result on developing family farm in these areas. Up to 2014, the number of Ningxia family farm has reached 1152, and the averaging scale has reached 462.7 acres. However, family farms in Ningxia also have many problems which should to be paid more attention, such as:the quantity is still less, the land transfer is not standardized, the scale of operation is unreasonable, the capability of employees is very low, social service system is not unsound, government policy and financial support are not in place and so on.The paper firstly stated the related theories and concepts of family farm by literature review and elaborated the current research progress on family farm at home and abroad. Then, based on the acquired field survey data, combined with the study of the relevant literature, the paper summarizes the developing status and effectiveness of the Ningxia family farm, and analyzes the current problems and reasons from the respect of staff’s idea and understanding, farm identification and registration, etc with the descriptive statistical analysis method and the comparative analysis method. Thirdly, took the typical examples of four developed countries abroad, such as:America, etc. and five districts in China, such as: Songjiang in Shanghai, etc. Finally, several countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for farm owners, government and the society.
