Currently, the Third Plenary Session of the18th CCP made the clear direction and requirements for financial reform to accelerate the interest rate market, improve the RMB exchange rate formation mechanism of the market, expansion of the financial sector opening to the outside, and establishment of a deposit insurance mechanism, indicates that China’s financial sector will become more open and market-oriented. In this context the trend, city commercial banks are facing tremendous development pressure. Under the new situation, city commercial banks need to identify the direction and positioning, in consolidating business development on the basis of the current, intensify services for SMEs, promote business development and transformation, improve the proportion of intermediary business revenue, and reduce dependence on the business development of the capital. Development of city commercial banks face many challenges and opportunities, we need to carefully review and study.This article focuses on applied research, author use the knowledge obtained in the MBA, combined research by A bank, correct understanding and in-depth analysis of the development process of city commercial banks, successful experiences increasingly fierce competition in international and domestic, and changing the current bottlenecks encountered in the external environment, through the current state of development of domestic commercial banks in major cities analyzed, based on comprehensive analysis, Pointed out that currently the A bank’s strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and learn from the successful experience of the advanced practice of city commercial banks, implementation of differentiated, characterized development, propose A bank development strategy, provide some ideas and insights for the development and selection of banks A new development strategy. Through this study, I believe that A bank should be implemented this development strategy,’Customer Priority, Business Equilibrium, Innovation Driven, Consolidated Operating’, ontinuously improve the ability to c business transformation, modern management techniques and the ability to bank, the core competence of business model.
