Study On ERP Slection And ERP Application In Small And Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprise Based On Supply Chain

ERP is typical of Enterprise information management tools. Based on themarket demand, ERP is widely used in our country. Because of the development ofmanufacturing industry and supply chain, there are many small and mediumenterprises need to use ERP. It is meaningful to discuss theirs’ ERP selectionand implementation as there is low success rate in our country. Based on smalland medium enterprises’ characteristics and supply chain background, the papertried to research the ERP selection and application.Firstly, according to the normal small and medium-sized manufacturingenterprises’ ERP selection and implementation situation, this paper analyzedsmall and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises’ ERP selection andimplementation relevant issues and key points based on supply chainbackground.Secondly, based on supply chain background, the paper researched theERP selection and application key points for small and medium-sized manufacturingenterprises. By contrast, the paper discussed the different system selectionrequirement and implementation demands of normal SME and small and medium-sizedmanufacturing enterprises with supply chain background. From the supply chaindevelopment view, the paper analyzed the supply chain special demands of smalland medium-sized manufacturing enterprises with supply chain background. Thepaper used QFD in system selection. Then, the paper researched the applicationtogether with the supply chain background. The paper used ABC to find out onecompany’s key supplier and points out the limitation of ERP with key partners’ system. Then based on the company’s total situation, the paper discussed thelimitation methods and BPR after limitation. Finally, the paper used company Tas an example, discuss its ERP project with supply chain background, containedsystem selection， important partner confirmations， situation analysis，integration and BPR.Management thought of ERP and supply chain management had entered into acertain stage of development in China, but the high failure rate of ERP selectionand implementation and stagnating in the supply chain will affect the developmentof small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. Future study of ERPselection and implementation also starts with ERP technology level and theinfluence on supply chain management level of ERP system.
