The Risk Management Research Of Baosteel Equipment Management Information System Project

Baosteel Equipment Management Information system (including the component of the system) has put into operation more than10years. Due to coverage and function increases ceaselessly, facing multiple aspects of software and hardware, it is necessary to be reconstructed. The main functions of the system modules includes reference management, inspection management, status management, maintenance management, material management, contract management, fixed assets management, repair cost management, metering equipment management, special equipment management. At the same time, Peripheral interface with the system also need to make corresponding improvement. In this thesis, with in-depth study of Baosteel equipment management information system project’s risk management, summed up the characteristics and experience of risk management of the project for achieving the goal. At the same time, intent to carry out risk management research for information system transformation project on large enterprise, and provide feasible solutions.In this thesis, we made Baosteel Equipment Management Information system Project as the object to research on risk management according to the risk identification, risk evaluation, risk response and risk monitoring of risk management. Based on the project risk analysis, project planning stage, implementation stage, and operation stage of possible risk factors for full recognition. On this basis, expert scoring and Risk Priority Number (RPN) were used to evaluate the risks qualitatively and quantitatively such as system switch risk, demand change risk, system testing risk, data preparation risk, commissioning schedule risk, training organization risk. Based on evaluation results, risk coping strategies and control measures were discussed, and proposed risk control measures to track the risk.The risk management of the project provided effective instruction and protection. The thesis tries to use a combination of theoretical and empirical research methods to conduct a comprehensive in-depth study for the Baosteel Equipment Management Information system Project and to provide some risk management methods and ideas to the project managers.
