The Internet is an important channel for the dissemination of knowledge in today’s society, advanced knowledge communication network can form a good atmosphere of knowledge dissemination. Zhihu is an online question answering community which core concept is knowledge sharing, to form the relationship between users to help them get better questions and answers. It gathers users from different occupation, education background, interests and hobbies. In this paper, by using weak tie theory to analyze the communication mechanism of Zhihu, prove that acquisition and contribution of knowledge by the users is diversified, and it presents more interdisciplinary knowledge. Zhihu compared to other weak tie communities, not only have valuable information, but the entertainment function is relatively strong. This paper finds that the information and environmental needs is the most prominent in Zhihu, the mood and self-confirmation requirement is obvious, interpersonal relationship is weak. Zhihu has the subject and object of tacit knowledge. Environment of tacit knowledge in Zhihu is open, the monopoly behavior of the tacit knowledge is not obvious. Self-efficacy, altruism and pleasure shows a significant correlation with the extent of the knowledge contribution. And the lack of incentive reward system doesn’t show negative impact on knowledge contribution of the members. Finally, this paper analyzes the obstacles of knowledge sharing,finds that the users’ obstacle on the accuracy of information is obvious, the relevance of the information is not obvious, the uniqueness of information is even not obvious.
