| Rice is one of the majorities of consumable cereal products and plays a significant role in diets of dairy life. So the quality and safety of rice products are closely related to people’s health.The main research object of this paper is the quality and safety of supply chain of rice. The supply chain includes planting, circulation, storage, production and sales, they were investigated, and the primary quality and safety problems in those links were analyzed. The main research work and contributions of this dissertation are as follows:1. The whole process chain of rice production was analyzed. Based on the investigation, the quality and safety data of supply chain of rice, the key quality information was gathered. A standard data system of rice quality and safety which provides data support for the quality control and traceability system of rice was built.2. This paper introduced RFID technology in the supply chain, specified the key technologies of RFID system including the design of antenna, interface, tag and the range of frequencies, and provided technical support for the quality control and traceability system.3. In order to integrate electronic code and bar code, this paper designed a transformational rule and software which can transform one type of code into another. In this way, bar code can be transformed into electronic code which can be written into RFID tag by software.4. This system was written with VBSCRIPT, HTML and Visual Basic6.0and the Access2003was chosen as the database. After the development, the traceability system provides the information enquiry function for customers and a traceability platform for quality assurance technician.By integrating RFID and the supply chain of rice, the logistics cost could be reduced. This system provides technical support for other agricultural products, and it can be developed further to trace the quality and safety of other agricultural products. |
