With the rapid increase in automobile production and sales, the normalinformation collection technologies, such as barcode, begin hard to meet the demand ofinformatization in automobile lean supply chain. RFID is considered as one of the mostsuitable technology for auto supply chain for its reliability and traceability, which canbe used in comprehensive information tracing management to control products’qualityand improve tracing efficiency. Nowadays, RFID is mostly applied in the field oflogistics management, and is qualitatively studied the potential usages in supply chainmanagement. However, RFID could be used in more situations on the basis of itsquality monitor and information tracking functions. It can help to supervise theproduction line and to collect instant manufacturing data in automobile supply chain.This paper qualitatively analysis the informationalized flow path in automobilesupply chain. Then creatively constructs the numerical model based on qualityinformation level during the automobile supply chain. Finally, quantificationallystudies the relation between RFID tag cast and supply chain’s profit. All those contentshave great value in quality controlling and information tracking among automobilesupply chain. There are three parts included as followed.Clarify the information flow through the collecting process, as well as theinformation categories. Construct the automobile supply chain information systemframe. Then optimal the information collection circuit flow process, and analysis itscharacteristics, and help illustrate the effect of RFID on supply chain quality control.To study the effect of the RFID on quality control standard and testing standard,the paper constructs a two-stage supply chain which consists of a host plant and aparts-supplier. At the aim of maximizing revenue, the paper calculates the optimalquality control standard and testing standard in centralized situation and decentralizedsituation respectively. and the result shows that part-supplier is greater impacted by tag cost, while thehost plant has stronger desire to accept RFID technology.Combine the model issues and solution results before, the paper studies theconstraints of RFID tag cost from various aspects, which put forward some suggestionsfor choosing strategies to use RFID. What’s more, in order to stimulate the willing touse RFID, the paper also gives a proposal which could balance the profit between theplant and supplier. Finally, the conclusion is validated and expanded through a furthernumerical analysis.The result shows that it could be a great positive effect for the automobile supplychain to use RFID to control the manufactory quality and to enhance the informationmore accurately and instantly. However, the RFID cost still a consideration when usingit. Research ideas and research methods of this paper can provide a reference forenterprise to design and apply of RFID technology.
