| Performance management system is a close-loop system, it includes the performanceplans, the performance implementation and communication, performance evaluation andfeedback, the results using and incentive method, performance continual improvementplans etc., they are combined together organically. Within the performance managementsystem, we should not ignore the contribution from the excellent managers’ efforts. Themanagers as if the "lubricant" and "catalyst", they specify the performance planning andthe incentive schemes, implement the goal decomposition, and perform the communicationand feedback.This article firstly analyzes the characteristics of knowledge-based workers inenterprises, the real demands, the particularities of their working contents and method, andthen presents a systematic study of the performance management system for theknowledge-based staff in small and medium-sized private companies of our countries.Under the basis of using the modern performance management theories, exploring asuitable knowledge-based workers performance management system for the small andmedium-sized private enterprises in China.Specifically, this article takes the AB company technical-based staff as the researchobject, through the status investigation and analysis, combines with relevant theories andpractices to carry out the improvement scheme and implementation of authentication, withthe purpose of solving the problem of technical staff performance management effectively,improving the technical staff’s work enthusiasm and efficiency.
