China has entered the stage of rapide conomic development,infrastructure construction and the major economic development projects in the rapid development of local economy plays a supporting role. Butdue to the inevitable influence project brought to the local social,environmental, economic and other, directly related to the vital interests of the people, leading to social risk events of major construction project scaused more and more frequent, therefore, the major construction projects of social stability risk assessment is an important measure forwinnowing management at all levels, departments, and more attention.The major construction projects of social stability risk assessment is to beaimed at various unstable factors, fully listen to the wishes of the massesof the construction of the project, the risk source and risk analysis of the project may exist, through the establishment of risk prevention measures and emergency plans, timely resolve social contradictions and risks.To promote the scientific decision-making, democratic decision-making, from the source to prevent and resolve social contradictions, to minimize thefactors of disharmony, to protect and promote sound and rapid economic and social development, has the important significance of constructing the socialist harmonious society.In order to study the social stability risk assessment of major construction projects better, this article from the theoretical concept, social stability and risk of major construction projects on the basis of the assessment,principle, process and evaluation index; the Songyuan integrated transport hub project social stability risk assessment work as the example analysis, and puts forward the measures and suggestions to guard against the risk of the project; on social stability risk assessment of major construction projects in China were summarized experience in theory,puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for riskassessment, in order to provide ideas for perfecting the system of risk assessment of major construction projects of social stability.
