The mill roller industry is an upper-layer enterprise of the iron and steel industry chain. It has the complex process flow and high energy consumption.As the national emphasis on energy saving and the competition among enterprises becomes fiercer, reducing energy consumption and saving energy costs have become the problems that the roller manufacturers have to face, and the key to improve the market competitiveness. Nowadays, the state has set some main energy consumption standards to the enterprises. For enterprises, how to achieve energy goals is the primary problem to work out.So, the study on energy consumption saving has important practical significance.From the view of energy saving for enterprises, through the field research of enterprises and the fully understand of the energy consumption in all aspects of roller production, and applying the relevant theories and methods in production management and system engineering, the paper establishes the flow chart of the whole mill roller production process and the energy consumption indicators system. Based on these, directing at the roller production process and the product characteristics, and taking the various specific factors in production process into consideration, the paper proposes the energy consumption indicator decomposition method based on e-p theory. Meantime, it’s a constituent part of the national ’973’project (2009CB320601) and the’National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar project’(70625001).In summary, this paper has mainly done the following aspects:(1) Summarize the energy consumption of various aspects in mill roller production. By analyzing the energy consumption of various aspects in mill roller production and the practical problems enterprises have, clarify the importance and necessity of the intelligent optimization decomposition of energy consumption indicators.(2) Establish the energy consumption indicator system of roller production process and the energy flow chart. Taking the mill roller production process as the background, through the analysis of the roller production process, and applying the relevant theories and methods in indicator system, establish the energy consumption indicator system of roller production process and the energy flow chart, lay a foundation of energy consumption indicator decomposition.(3) Research on the energy consumption indicator decomposition problems that roller production process faces, and propose the energy consumption indicator decomposition method based on the e-p theory. By researching on the e-p energy analysis theory and analyzing the roller material and energy flow chart, apply the e-p theory into the energy consumption indicator decomposition, and elaborate on the fundamental idea and the implementation steps.(4) The decomposition from the unit comprehensive energy consumption to the process energy consumption had been studied. It was the first step of Energy Decomposition Method Based on the e-p Theory, which was from the unit comprehensive energy consumption to the process energy consumption. In this process, we established the corresponding mathematical model, and used CPLEX and LINGO to solve the model, giving the relevant optimization strategy.(5) Study on the decomposition from the process energy consumption to the equipment energy consumption. Aiming at the second step of the e-p energy decomposition method (from the process energy consumption to the equipment energy consumption), taking the heat treatment process as an example, establish the corresponding mathematical model. And according to the characteristics of the problem, propose two heuristic algorithms to solve the model. At last, the effectiveness of the algorithm has been certified by comparing and analyzing the results. The corresponding optimum solution method under different conditions is given to the problem.
