Compensation is a "double-edged sword", which will be able to attract, motivate and retain talent if properly used, but however, which can also give enterprises serious crisis if improperly used. The compensation management system is an important part of compensation management, and it has a direct impact on the effectiveness of compensation management. The establishment of a good compensation management system may help a bank enter a well cycle which is from expectations to innovation, and on the contrary, if the system fails, it may lead to the decline in staff morale and efficiency, internal conflicts, and the rise in staff loss rate, as well as some other serious consequences. Over the years, Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank has conducted a number of reforms in the compensation management system. Although initially the reforms received relatively good effects, however, with the rapid development of banking, the continuously strengthening of the international trend and the infiltration of advanced concepts about compensation management, the compensation management system still has many problems needed to be resolved immediately. In view of this, this paper studies on the compensation management system in Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank, analyses the main problems, and proposes solutions combining with advanced theories and practical experience as well, hoping to provide an effective reference to the further development of the author and the bank.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background and significance of selected topic, the present situation of the research about compensation management systems at home and abroad, and the definition of the scope of the study, together with the ideas and methods of the study. The second chapter of this paper describes compensation management related theories, which include the definition of compensation, compensation management and compensation management systems, compensation’s function and its achieve conditions, also together with the purpose and mainly influnce factors of compensation management, and the principles that compensation management systems should follow. The third chapter of this paper introduces the overview of Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank, which includes the organization structure, business development and the enterprise culture, together with the situation of human recourse and operation, and the strategic development plan as well. The forth chapter of this paper mainly describes the situation of the compensation management system in Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank. This part includes the composition of wages and welfare, as well as pay level. The fifth chapter of this paper mainly analyzes the main problems and their reasons about the compensation management system of Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank. The sixth chapter of this paper proposes solutions to make the compensation management system of Liaoning Branch of China Construction Bank becoming better and approaching perfection, which combines with the previous study and the author’s work experience, as well as successful experience of compensation management in foreign commercial banks. The seventh chapter of this paper is about conclusions and prospects, which mainly summarizes the study of this paper and make prospects for the further study.
