With the rapid growth of the communications industry, more and more communication manufacturing companies join this competition. Thus, Shanghai AB communication manufacturing company is facing on growing external pressure of competition. On the other hand, its higher inventory costs greatly influence its internal operational performance, therefore, it is necessary and urgent to study on AB company inventory control problems.Taking AB company as one research object, this thesis analysizes its poor performance as high inventory, low turnover and not timely delivery. Some causes are concluded, including the imperfection of the ABC classification, too long production cycle, too frequent customer demand change and remote suppliers. Then, inventory control based on ABC classification is proposed. Moreover, the inventory improvement stragety based on value stream is presented. In the end, some other strategies of forecast and localization optimization are also given.By these inventory strategies, AB Company improve its service levels, reduce its inventory levels and raise its competition ability in market.
