The response speed to order and product price are having become the core competitive factors in recently increasingly competitive market. Product delivery cycle, which reflects the response speed of an enterprise to the order, represents the operation efficiency of production operation system, while inventory turnover rate which influences product market price by influencing the cost during production process is an important operation efficiency indicator in the production operation system. Studying on the product delivery cycle and inventory turnover rate has theoretical and practical significance for improving key performance indicators of production operation system, which may further improve the core competitive strength of an enterprise.The author takes the PHVS Company’s production operation system as the study object, focuses on the two key KPI indexes of operation efficiency in production operation system, production delivery cycle and inventory turnover rate, analyzes the PHVS company production operation system combined with international and domestic study results of manufacturing industry production operation and looks for the problems of PHVS operation system. The author give improvement advice for improving PHVS company production operation system by using related theory and practice to after problems and deficiency were found during the research. The purpose is to improve production operation efficiency by reducing delivery time and production cost.By analyzing the statistic data of PHVS company production delivery cycle and inventory turnover rate, we found that in2012, the average delivery time of PHVS company was83days which is longer than industry average time75days, inventory turnover rate was2.37which is much lower than industry good performance companies. Then a conclusion was made that there are some problems with the PHVS Company, such as unreasonable company organization structure, too much complicated production process, discommodious information exchanging ways, unreasonable inventory control targets and purchase process. In order to solve the problems above mentioned, some related production operation theories are used to find the solving methods such as organization re-construction, production process improvement, setting the information exchange channels, setting the reasonable inventory control targets, purchase process simplification, etc.
