With the rapid development and globalization of the world economy, more and moreinternational companies have chosen the global stratagem which causes global competitionamong the companies. A company could win the market share based on the quality and theprice in the past, but it is impossible now. How to improve the competence is a commontopic to all the companies.At the same time, customers have been changing their views of value andconsumption which show a development trend of personalization and diversification. Afterthe global economic crisis in2008, customers care more about the product especially at thedelivery performance.As a more advanced operation method, Lean Production has the superiority toimprove the delivery performance. The paper will focus on this topic and give somesuggestions to it.Firstly, the paper will start from the background of global economic competition,emphasize the realistic significance for the company to improve the delivery, and explainthe study topics and contents.Secondly, the paper will review the relevant literatures¤t status of deliveryand Lean Production; and also introduce the definition, analyze the advantage, clarify thebasic concepts and main tools of Lean Production.Then, the paper will focus on the current delivery performance of SMS Company,research the root cause and give the corrective suggestions by using relevant theories andtools of Lean Production; also forecast the final performance after improvement.In the end, the author makes a brief summary to his views and research shortages.
