The research object of this article S is a domestic private enterprise,which is a domestic IT industry raw material industry sales enterprise transformed by traditional IT industry equipment dealers.As the domestic IT equipment production enterprise production supply chain upstream IT raw material supplier,raw material Whether the delivery cycle to meet the production needs of production enterprises,S company is the key to achieving sales.This paper focuses on the S company's use of VMI strategy,in the improvement of raw material delivery cycle to make a breakthrough attempt,and achieved very satisfactory results.In this article,the operation status of S company as the research object,IT raw materials to improve the delivery cycle to study.First of all,through the analysis of international IT raw material market situation and S business model,this article puts forward the problem that the production service delivery time faced by S company is insufficient to meet the production demand of customers.Then,the reasons leading to the above problems are discussed from three aspects:the difference of inventory management mode,the poor communication between upstream and downstream,the conflict between the two sides in the supply chain.Finally,based on the VMI strategy,this article puts forward the suggestions on the improvement of the supply chain,such as the Save buffer inventory management system,the seamless matching scheme of the ERP information system and the unified performance appraisal system of the VMI multi-functional group.The results of this study are also applicable to the improvement of the delivery cycle of raw materials in other industries,which can be used as a reference for the implementation of VMI strategy in other industries.
