A Study On Process Risk Management And Control Of A Company’s Software Testing

The study of risk management of software testing started from80s of last century. Along with the widely applied of internet, the scope and complexity of software testing are both enlarged. Technology is not the only element in completing a software testing project, while management becomes more and more important. In such situation, the study of risk management of software testing becomes popular. Such study in our country started much later. The study of risk management on software testing is just on a startup phase. Most methods of risk management are exploratory study.The paper takes process risk of software testing in a department of a company in Software Park as an object as an object to study. It establishes a risk control plan for the software testing by investigating on the problems in process risk management of software testing. The plan includes modules of risk identification, risk assessment and risk management and control. The plan can be used widely, embedded easily and reasonable. Through the plan, it can reduce the process risk in software testing, raise the efficiency of software testing and provide a template for other risk management.In Chapter One, it introduces present situation of study on risk management in both China and abroad, and makes the technical route of this paper. In Chapter Two, it introduces the history of the Finance Company and its branch in China and raises the issues in software testing of Operations Department and tries to analysis the reason of those issues. In Chapter Three, it establishes three modules-risk identify, risk assessment and risk monitor and control. They are used to find a solution for the risk In software testing. In Chapter Four, it analysis the prospect of this plan and give some advise on the maintenance of the plan. In the final chapter, paper gives a summary of the risk management and control plan of software testing in Operations.
