As a strategic energy for disposable consumption, crude oil directly exerts aneffect on the safety of national economy and social development. With the rapiddevelopment of world economy, China has become the world’s second largestcrude oil consuming country and the degree of its dependence on crude oil is alsogrowing. So far, the researches on the crude oil supply chain are becoming anincreasingly important problem. From the perspective of supply chain, this dissertation adopts chainmanagement, the game theory and the contract theory to conduct systemicanalysis on the coopetition of the crude oil supply chain. Owning its owncharacteristics, crude oil supply chain n is different from the supply chain of thegeneral market products. Within the crude oil supply chain, there exists not onlycompetition strategies for the pursuit of maximizing their own interests, but alsohas the partnership based on common interests and competition and cooperation.Co-opetition of crude oil supply chain is no longer a pure game adhere to theoperation, which takes into account the factors that may exert influencesincluding interest factors, risk factors, geopolitics, international political factorsand other factors in the process of coopetition. From systematic, overall point ofview, the author does the researches on the co-opetition, making the partners inthe supply chain and overall profits are maximum equilibrium. This dissertation firstly introduces the origin and development of crude oilsupply chain networks and elaborates the characteristics of the crude oil supplychain networks that are different from other networks, and then redefines theconnotation, characteristics and forms of coopetition in the crude oil supply chain. And then the author synthesizes the related theories and knowledge oncoppetition and conducts a comprehensive analysis on the co-opertition problemsof the crude oil supply chain from the two different dimensions within the chain both vertically and laterally and obtains the factors that influence the enterprisesto make a choice on the competition strategies under the two different dimensions. In virtue of the contract theory, the author does deeper discussions and researcheson the competition of enterprises under two lateral dimensions within the chainand crossing the chains in the supply chain. Finally, the paper selects ChinaSinopec as the research object, carries on the empirical analysis on thecompetition of the Petrochemical Enterprises in China Sinopec to detect thescientific and practical features of the above researches, and at last combines withthe related researches to provide solutions and suggestions.
