Research of this paper is based on the background that e-commerce is having a great impact on the development of express delivery. Meanwhile the express delivery industry also play an important role in the supply chain of e-commerce enterprises. For the e-commerce enterprises, they need to choose an suitable vendor to deliver the products for them, so it’s meaningful and essential to have a research on the evaluation and selection method of the express delivery supplier.First of all, the main contribution of the work was the establishment of the criteria system for express delivery supplier selection process. The trend of the industry must be considered in the analysis. According to the effect, it will put more focus on the downstream target related to the customer satisfaction index, emphasis more on the soft power of suppliers, also consider the coordination of the quality control, time control and cost control as the goal in the evaluation of the supply chain process.The second contribution is to build an evaluation system with the key elements in the analysis. Two sets of questionnaires were designed from the perspective of e-commerce enterprise and customers, the data collected can measure the importance of each element. The data of the survey of the e-commerce enterprise can tell the reliability and validity of the index system. From the result of the questionnaire for customers we can tell the satisfaction index as an important dimension in the whole evaluation index system. And the result will provide reliable reference information in modifying and finalizing the evaluation system.In addition, the results exhibit the application of development of a multi-criteria decision model for evaluation and selection of express delivery suppliers with proposed AHP model. With the index system that made in the first step and the AHP-based supplier selection model, we can calculate the value point of every element through the marking of the related enterprise workers, then resolve the supplier selection problem in choosing the optimal supplier combination. To comply with this method, questionnaires are prepared which have to be taught to the related and envolved members to enable them to fill them out correctly and accurately to get optimum advantages and results.
