Under the background of national broadband strategy and information consumption policy, the communication equipment manufacturing enterprises have the access to the new development opportunity, which main product is broadband product. How to acquire competition advantage is the key point to the enterprises. The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of different kinds of resources on the communication enterprises’broadband product based on the enterprise resource theory and competition advantage theory.This paper builds the factors system of broadband product based on the resource and ability system of communication manufacturing enterprises. And the paper uses the factor analysis and structural equation analysis method to build the model. Based on the questionnaire investigation of the employees from S communication equipment manufacturing enterprise, we uses the data of valid questionnaire and the empirical results show that the enterprises’R&D ability, marketing resource and manufacturing capacity have main impact on the broadband product competition advantage. While the company’s financial and human resources just have support role in gaining the competitive advantage for broadband products. Based on the above results, the paper proposes suggestions about how to acquire the competition advantage of broadband product from two prospects.Many scholars had studied the relationship between enterprise resource and competition advantage from the macro perspective. While we explore the impact of different enterprise resources on the broadband product from the micro view.
