It is very important to define a reasonable role for the trade union, which is legally on behalf of the interests of employees. However, the ones of those private enterprise unions in our country are not so much clear, and the function implementation does not reach the designated position, which not only hinders the construction of the union itself, restrain the healthy development of the enterprise, but also become unstable factors in the construction of a harmonious society. Hence, it is of great importance to clear the role of the union in the period of social transition. Only in this way can we realize the revival of the society.In this paper, we have referred to the documents of trade union, and found that the current solutions of resolving the role conflict are mainly from the aspects of law and system. Based on the documents, we try to find a new solution from the role complicit theory. We also survey two large private enterprises in Shanxi Province, the Shanxi coal chemical industry group company, LTD., and Shanxi Huaxiang group company, LTD. Firstly, we study the role complicit of the enterprise trade union, survey the union workers and employees. Secondly we explore the causes of the role conflict and the related effects just based on the questionnaire. At last, we put forward some suggestions to solve the role conflict from three aspects, including clearing the relationship between trade unions and private enterprise, improving the effectiveness of trade union workers, and strengthening the peripheral system construction.
