Abstract:Hubei Province is the country’s major grain production and circulation province, Hubei Jianli is a "national grain production counties "and" Chinese rice first county "which is located in the hinterland of Hubei Jianghan Plain. The early1980s, the annual grain output of Jianli is around10million kg, it had nine consecutive home most of the province’s total rice production and it also was the first county in290counties. Thus, even the food security issues of Jianli can not be ignored position in the Chinese food production problems in Hubei province. It is very important for this paper to focus on the factors affecting food production in Hubei Province so as to eliminate the adverse effects of fluctuations in food and to achieve steady growth in food production.First, this paper reviews the rapid growth phase of grain-grain smooth fluctuations stage-a sharp decline in food production stage-" nine growth " phase of food each time. It also analyzes the main problems existed Jianli food production, including land quantity and quality issues, control problems of food production decline comparative effectiveness pests, food industry development policies and measures imperfections, building condition paddy irrigation infrastructure and irrigation systems imperfect.Secondly, according to the representative, the availability and comparability principle, based on field research data, this paper selects key indicators affecting food production in Jianli County, including arable land, precipitation, grain acreage, fertilizer and pesticide application rate, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, rural electricity volume, yield, mechanical power, support agricultural production and agro-business expenses, net income of rural households on average per year of10indicators.Based on the research results, combined with principal component analysis, improved gray correlation analysis theory, this paper fully analyzes the main factors of food production in Jianli County, the conclusion is that the main ingredient is derived mechanical power (x8) grain sown area (x3), chemical fertilizer and pesticide application rate (x4). yield (x7), precipitation (x2), rural electricity consumption (x6), to support agricultural production and agro-business expenses (x9). It also respectively analyzes Jianli and fluctuations in food production factors related to four towns in Hubei Province by using improved gray correlation analysis method, the conclusion is that the main factors of food production are the grain acreage, yield, fertilizer and pesticide application amount of arable land, agricultural mechanization.
