Study On The Land-using Efficiency Difference Of Star Hotel In Hainan Province

China is in a period of rapid urbanization. The demand for construction land resources is increasing because of expansion of city construction and growing urban population.Cultivated land protection policy reduces the supply of construction land. It is becoming a practical problem to be solved in our country to use construction land resources efficiently and improve the efficiency of construction land-using.The measure of land use efficiency is a core issue of the study on land use efficiency. There are different methods to estimate the efficiency of land-using in domestic academy. However, no matter what method, they still use the ratio of the output of the study land between the land area as the index to represent the efficiency of land and judge the land-using efficiency through the value of the ratio. The reality is different land bearing different industries whose characteristics are different. The hotel offers land of accommodation for tourists occupying construction land. Hotel land belongs to tourism sites, tourism is a comprehensive industry with high driving ability, The stimulating effect of tourism on the national economy is far greater than stimulating effect caused by the national economy.Therefore, when we assessing the efficiency of land use-star hotel, we should consider pulling effect of tourism on other sectors, if the land is only used by its data output indicators then we will underestimate its actual land-using efficiency.Hainan is China’s largest special economic zone and the only tropical island province. The tourism resources, unique location and "international tourist island" strategy make the tourism pulling effect in Hainan province is more significant than other industries, these features make Hainan become the object of study. From the point of view of research results at home and abroad, many of them use input-output model. to study the effects about related industries of tourism. Susanne Kytzia and Ariane Walz (2011) using the expanded input-output model analyze the economic behavior of visitors which check in different levels of hotel then accordingly calculated the land-using efficiency of different travel strategies, and finally judged the trends of land-using efficiency through scenario analysis method in future. Thus, this article will first use the traditional method that does not consider the associated effects of tourism to study the land-using efficiency difference of star hotel in hainan province Then follow the technology path Susanne Kytzia and Ariane Walz proposed to measure the land-using efficiency difference of star hotel in hainan province with the consideration of the associated effects of tourism by the method of input-output model.Studies have shown that, in addition to four-star hotels, the land-using efficiency of star hotel in hainan province used by input-output model with consideration of industry association is higher than the land-using efficiency of star hotel in hainan province without consideration of industry association traditional methods of land-using efficiency will cause underestimation.The results about the land-using efficiency of star hotel in hainan province used by input-output model with consideration of industry association are as follows:the land using efficiency of five-star was the highest reaching to1.767ten thousand yuan/sqm/year which means that the tourists checking in the five-star hotels created1.767ten thousand yuan/sqm in a year. Followed by the one-star hotel,the tourists who check in one-star hotel created0.584ten thousand yuan/sqm in a year. The land using efficiency of four-star was the lowest, it was just0.120ten thlousand yuan/sqm/year.The total benefits created by five-star hotel star hotel was the highest of all, and the land using efficiency of five-star hotel was the highest, we can say that the five-star hotel got the maximum economic benefits with the least resources of land.When the final demand of tourists checking in five-star hotel increased one million, all departments will create more production of0.364ten thousand yuan/year; When the final demand of tourists checking in four-star hotel increased one million, all departments will create more production of0.072ten thousand yuan/year; When the final demand of tourists checking in three-star hotel increased one million, all departments will create more production of0.275ten thousand yuan/year; When the final demand of tourists checking in two-star hotel increased one million, all departments will create more production of0.082ten thousand yuan/year; When the final demand of tourists checking in one-star hotel increased one million, all departments will create more production of0.180ten thousand yuan/year.
