At present, in the environment with rapid changes, fierce competition and the marketdemand vary from minute to minute, inventory management problem not only affects the size ofthe inventory cost, enterprise fund occupy level, but also influence the response speed, the levelof customer service and enterprise market share.With the rapid development of global economy, patency materials and efficient logisticsoperation have become the important factors in all countries around the world. The enterpriseand the academic circles have paid more and more attention to material and materialmanagement, because they have become an important part of inventory management.One of the important parts of supply chain management is supply chain managementcontrol problem of inventory, it compared with the traditional inventory control there is a hugedifference, there are many new characteristics and requirements. In the environment of supplychain management, the traditional inventory control act of one’s own free will and far away ofthe idea of supply chain management, unable to meet the needs of supply chain management,and therefore must integrate inventory management functions, so that the overall inventory levelof supply chain to achieve optimal.The final purpose of inventory management and optimization is reasonably balance theservice and the cost, improve the efficiency of storage and use, and according to the companydevelopment strategy to structure the inventory from low to high efficiency. Inventoryoptimization under supply chain environment is a gradual process, needs continuous efforts andimprovement in order to achieve the best control level.In this paper, the core enterprise supply chain in the Philips Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.as the research object, the author briefly describes the features of supply chain and marketcompetition environment, analysis of the inventory management under the environment ofsupply chain and the similarities and differences between traditional inventory management. Themain areas of research focus and suppliers, internal management and customer market closely,the procurement strategy is not clear, the supplier can’t continuous supply, sluggish materialsproportion, parts procurement lead time is longer and the customer orders and forecast changesfrequently, proposed the concept from the upstream suppliers to enterprises to the downstreamcustomer inventory optimization, recommendations were adopted various strategies andmeasures to solve the problems of inventory control.Make full use of the supply chain resources, at the same time for different materials, therelationship between market supply and demand, and take different purchasing and suppliermanagement strategy, optimize inventory management, promote enterprise can guarantee the production, improve customer service level, but also can improve the inventory turnover rate,reduce unnecessary inventory. Based on the supply chain inventory optimization, are fullycapable to reduce the cost of the whole supply chain inventory effect, the overall optimization ofobvious advantages in reducing the cost of the supply chain inventory.This research is mainly reflected in the combination of characteristics of industry andenterprises, the total cost concept in strategic sourcing, not with a single price as a measure ofstandards, and quality control system, a comprehensive evaluation of suppliers for the supplycapacity, service level and research and development capacity, suggestions for agents and itsproducts to early assessment and the test, choose domestic suppliers to shorten the procurementlead time, and search for the important components of long-term cooperation supply system; toseek true is applicable to the field of supply chain management inventory cost optimizationstrategy; considering product and market demand characteristics to design and produce withcommon parts, promote to customers and market.
