Wetland is one of the three most important ecosystems (forests, oceans andwetlands) on the earth. It has many important ecological functions, such as waterconservation, water purification, storing flood-water for drought, regulating climate, and also it has important ecological function--maintenance of biodiversity, theWetlands is one of nature’s richest ecological landscape for Biodiversity and one ofthe most important living place for human. Wetland is known as the kidney of theearth, it is the habitat for plants and animals, and also the place for human well-being.However, Wetlands is gradually reduced and the quality is declining as well. Thefuture of the wetland is relating to the future of human beings, so the study ofWetlands becomes a hot point in the overseas and domestics.Plateau Wetlands, a special part in the domestics Wetlands system, is in a veryclose relationship with human beings, and also has important ecological servicefunction and landscape features. The tourism landscape resources in Plateau wetlandis rich, it has special advantages for the ecological tourism. Ecotourism is hailed asthe best way to protect the ecological environment and maintain ecological balance, and also the best way to mutually promote the tourism development andenvironmental protection. Plateau wetland ecological tourism is to implement thetourism activity on the wetland ecosystem, which pursues the harmony between manand plateau wetland ecological environment through combining ecological tourismand plateau wetland protection. On one hand, ecotourism could protect and takeadvantage of plateau wetland; on the other hand, it could promote the development ofecological tourism and the local economic prosperity. Due to the various constraintsand conditions, there is lack of sufficient attention on the plateau wetlands at homeand abroad which leads to the difficulty in developing plateau wetland tourism. What’s more, the plateau wetland is so vulnerable to be damaged with the rapidlydevelopment of tourism in China, and the plateau wetland special ecologicalenvironment makes it harder to be restored artificially once it’s damaged, and thenatural restoration takes a long time. As a result, the protection for plateau wetland inChina is very serious. The object of this paper is to study the development of ecological tourism in thefirst bend of the Yellow River wetland park. The first bend of the Yellow River, a partof the Zoige wetland, is located in aba Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Tangketown,Ruoergai county,Sichuan province. It is abundant in ecotourism resources, suchas the good ecological environment, vegetation cover, the original ecologicalresources and well-preserved meadow meander, intact ecosystem structure, rich in thetype of animal and plant. All in all, it’s one of the habitats for the biodiversity in theplateau wetland; it is of high value in landscape ornamental and ecotourism, and alsoan ideal place for ecotourism in plateau wetland. The first bend of the Yellow Riverhas the advantage in ecological resources and ecotourism market. However, the lackof scientific unified design in ecological tourism leads to many problems that hinderthe healthy development of ecological tourism.
