Industrial revolution had amazingly improved productive forces, but also hadbrought enormous damage to the nature. Science and technology had been animportant part of productive forces. Innovation of science and technology whichemerges the day when science and technology appeared is a significant method topromote the development of science and technology. The innovation pursued only theeconomic values in the past and did’t notice that the development of science andtechnology is harming the nature and human sociality while promoting the economy,the innovation had brought the ecological damage and social conflict. The innovationneed to be changed urgently. Some researchers came up with the concept ofEco-Innovation of Science and Technology, they think the innovation need to changeecologically. Most of them had argued about the connotation of the Eco-Innovation,but few mentioned about The Change to Eco-Innovation. Now anew theory of Eco-Innovation emerges as a candidate paradigm. Eco-Innovation hasit’s theorems, laws and methods, and defined the scope of puzzle solving. It has owndictionary, constructed own microhabitat. Simultaneously there are other competingparadigms such as The Green Innovation. Now the paradigm shift had started and thecandidate paradigms are competing.Paradigm competition is a process like natural selection. Worldview, value,social needs, Eco-power and innovation policies are the factors that affect thecompetition. They act as a part of the nature, once one candidate paradigm iscompatible with these factors, then it would probably win the paradigm competition.The article consist of four parts. Part one introduced the background, current research status, method and thesignificance of Eco-Innovation and The Change to Eco-Innovation.Part two studied the incompatibility between the current innovation system andthe sustainable development, current innovation system is incompatible with thenature and society. The Eco-innovation is found to be compatible with the sustainabledevelopment.Part three first introduced the theory of Thomas S Kuhn’s paradigm, andanalyzed The Change to Eco-Innovation by the paradigm theory. Then clarified thatthe Eco-Innovation is a paradigm, and The Change to Eco-Innovation is a paradigmshift.And also studied the current status of The Change to Eco-Innovation. Lastdiscussed what The Change to Eco-Innovation are essentially.Part four introduced the current advantages of The Change to Eco-Innovationand the way it realize.
