In the middle service is refers does not constitute the commercial bank to show in theproperty,the table is in debt,forms the bank non-interest income the service.Along with thefinancial globalization,the financial liberalization,the financial information tendencydevelopment,the money market competition is day by day intense,the commercial banktradition source of income-interest income greatly reduces.The commercial bank middleservice by its risk small,the cost low,the income high becomes the commercial bank toincrease the profit the important way,the middle service oneself becomes one of moderncommercial bank core businesses,our country commercial bank middle service innovationsignificance therefore especially is also important.This Paper takes financial innovation theory and the theory of inter--mediarybusiness of eommereial banks as the foundation,and by comparing the eurrent situation ofthe development of intermediary business between Chinese commercial bank and wsterncornercial bank,found the factors that effeet the development and innovation ofintermediary business.Meanwhile,in order to further speed up the development of the intermediary businessof eocmereialbanks in China,proposing specific str-ategies to enhanee the marketcompetitiveness.Structurally,this paper is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction,describes the significance of this study and have asum of the research done by the foreign scholar on financial innovation and intermediarybusiness of commercial Banks.The second part is the general overview of financial innovation and the intermediarybusiness of commercial Bank.In the first place,the meaning of the"financial innovation"understood by domestic and foreign scholars is introduced,and on this basis,also issummarized;and also the characteristics of financial innovation and the general theory of financial innovation are described;In the second Place,describes about the basic conceptsof intermediary business,in accordance with the “Provisional Regulations on IntermediaryBusiness of Commercial Banks”developed by People’s Bank of China,developed byPeople’s Bank of China,divides intermediate business into seven categories,meanwhileillustrates the need for innovation of intermediary business of commercial banks.Firstly,ithelps to improve economic efficiency of commercial banks to meet the needs of thedevelopment of banks;secondly,it helps to open up new business area and the types ofinnovative products;and thirdly,it helps to reduce and spread risks of banks;Fourthly,ithelps to improve the market competitiveness of commercial banks.Finally,the descriptionof the relationship between the financial innovation,and pointed out both areinterrelated,relay on each other,complement each other,and are indispensable.The third and fouth part introduces the current situation of the development ofintermediary business in Chinese commercial banks and the Western developed counteries’commercial banks,and on this basic have a comparative analysis of the two,and finds thatthere is quite big gap,which mainly shows on the small business,the slow and unevendevelopment,and differences in the concept of service.These are precisely the performanceof the two,finds out the constraints that restrict the innovation of intermediary business ofChinese commercial Banks,including both of the two aspects:internal problems andexternal problems existing in the commercial banks.The fifth part, based on experience from the westeren banks.The sixth part,based on the previous analysis,proposed the specific strategies for theinnovation of intermediary business of Chinese commercial banks.It mainly analyses fromthree aspects:product category innovation of the intermediary business and themanagement innovation of intermediary business.
