Pricing System Study Of Railway Total Logistics Services

With the development of economy, the development of railway freight has been unable to keep pace with the development of the national economy. Railway freight has less competition than road freight with the development of road freight. How to benefit has become an issue to the railway corporation after the implementation of the reform of rail freight organizations. Besides, today’s rail freight charging methods have some disadvantages. In all kinds of backgrounds, establishing the price of railway total logistics service which fits for the demands of freight owners and the market economy has been in necessary. The price of railway total logistics is important to consummate the price of railway transportation, to improve the competition of railway freight market, to satisfy the demands of the freight owners, to realize the profitability of rail transportation. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. To introduce the research background, purpose and significance, current research, theory and research methods, and research and ideas.2. Dividing the rail freight logistics service types into four categories:"door to door" transportation service;"door to door" logistics services; supply logistics services; sales logistics services according to the type of freight and clients.3. According to the four types that mentioned in the second part, analyzing each pricing.4. Analyzing the logistics costs based on the railway total logistics services, and establishing logistics models using activity-based costing (ABC method) cost methods.5. Establishing pricing models on the basis of cost models combined with market supply and demand, then verifying the pricing models.6. Making some proposals form data acquisition, price classification management, internal cost control to ensure the smooth implementation of the railway logistics services price system.
