Research On Business Model For China Railway Logistics Enterprise To Develop Door To Door Transportation

With the rapid development of China’s economy, the competition in the freight market is increasingly fierce and the railway is facing intensified pressure from other modes of transport. Under the new situation of the country’s economic change of the pattern, the railway logistics enterprise has to make reforms and changes its rigid business model and philosophy to expand its freight service chain, from the traditional stop-to-stop rail transportation to door-to-door transportation, thereby expanding its market. At present the development of China railway logistics enterprise to develop door to door transportation is still in its infancy, Research on business model is very few and lack of relatively complete selection system. It is of practical and strategic significance to study on the business mode to develop door-to-door transportation, the resolution of this issue will considerably improve the competitiveness of rail transportation in the future market and promote the social economic effects.This paper, based on the railway freight market, conducts researches mainly from the following three aspects:Firstly, on the basis of analysis of door-to-door railway goods transport in China and the demand of freight market, this paper conducted SWOT analysis to ensure the market strategy most suitable to the door-to-door transport in the current freight market and issues that need attention, further identifying the market function positioning of the development of door-to-door transport in China.Secondly, on the basis of analyzing the connotation of freight transport mode of door-to-door freight transportation in China, it analyzed operation subject, organizational and business modes involved in the door-to-door rail transport and expounded and concluded the three main modes of operation during the development.Finally, taking the CRE as the example and based on the fuzzy evaluation, it introduced the DEA theory and built the evaluation system influencing the railway enterprises to develop the door-to-door freight mode and solving the results with the Lingo software, selecting the best way to develop the mode of operation door to door transportation for CRE, and build the optimized model for door to door transportation in both time and cost for the enterprises and clients, providing theoretical guidance and referential method to select business model for China railway logistics enterprise to develop door-to-door transportation.
