The small and micro enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the socialistmarket economy, which have the characters of large quantities, wide distribution,various types, and strong vitality. When it comes to adjusting and perfecting theindustrial structure, increasing jobs and promoting the urbanization, the SMEs play anessential role and make a great contribution to the economy and society. Thedevelopment of the SMEs is supported by specific policies proposed during the18thCPC national congress. However, it also confronts a series of financing problems for along time, such as bank financing which has become the essential factor to limitsustainable development of SMEs. Besides, with the improvement of Chinese financialsystem and the increasingly fierce competition among commercial banks, the potentialSMEs have become the main critical potential market for banks. It has no doubt thatcommercial banks will make the credit product innovation for the SMEs, because theSMEs financing has its special characters whose needs can’t be satisfied by thetraditional credit products.In view of the above background, based on financial innovation theory,information asymmetry theory, credit rationing theory, and the theory of financial lifecycle of the firm, the thesis analysis systematically analyzes the credit productioninnovation for SMEs of commercial banks from the perspective of financial innovationwith the Literature analysis, survey research analysis, learning experience analysis andother research methods. The thesis firstly studies the related literature at home andabroad, defines the related concept of credit product innovation for SMEs of thecommercial banks and analyzes its necessity, and then summarizes relevant theories.Through the analysis of the present situation of the credit product innovation for thesmall and micro enterprises of the commercial bank in our country, the thesis points outsome problems, for example, the credit products for SMEs have serious homogeneity,the risk prevention mechanism is imperfect, the pricing power of the innovative product is insufficient, the service and guarantee system is defective, it also analyzes the causesof these problems. On the basis of the international advanced experience, and the actualsituation of the commercial bank’s development in our country, the thesis puts forwardsome suggestions of improving the credit product innovation for the SMEs in thecommercial banks in our country. The commercial banks should strengthen marketsegmentation, encourage technology research and development, build a comprehensivedynamic risk supervision system, improve the ability of the credit product pricing,strengthen the construction of the credit appraisal system, perfect the financingguarantee system, Set up the scientific innovation idea and increase the investment ofthe SMEs.
