With the vigorous development of knowledge economy, knowledge has become the important factor for the competition between enterprises. As the carrier and creator of knowledge and information, Knowledge workers are very important for High-Tech Enterprises. And knowledge workers can help High-Tech Enterprises to obtain the sustainable development power. On the other hand, they have a strong desire to self value realization and long for career success. Some scholars pointed that the key factor to personal career success is to build and use the social capital. So in High-Tech Enterprises, knowledge workers how to use the social capital to obtain the knowledge which are helpful for their career development, is the paper need to solve. Based on this, the article uses individual social capital as a breakthrough point, the knowledge workers in the High-Tech Enterprises as the research object, and studies the effects of individual social capital to the knowledge workers’career success, to open the black box of its inner mechanism. It has important theoretical and practical meaning for both knowledge workers and enterprise.Firstly, the article reviews and teases the documentary about the concept and characteristics of knowledge workers and the High-Tech enterprises, individual social capital, absorptive capacity and career success in our paper. Then, the author establishes the relationship model of individual social capital, absorptive capacity and knowledge workers’ career success, puts forward to the corresponding research hypothesis to solve the basic question that how to know the mechanism about the effects of individual social capital to career success. Then, we took the empirical testing with large sample questionnaire survey, collected238valid samples totally, and analyzed through SPSS20.0. We tested the hypothesis model through descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, variance analysis and multiple regression analysis.From the result we finding that:(1) Individual social capital has significant positive influence on career success. And the influence of relation social capital is bigger than others; the second is cognitive social capital and the last is structure social capital.(2) Individual social capital has positive influence on absorptive capacity, the influence of relation social capital is the most outstanding, then the cognitive social capital and the last one is structure social capital.(3) Knowledge workers’absorptive capacity has significant positive influence on their career success.(4) The absorptive capacity is the mediating variables of social capital and career success. And the absorptive capacity plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between structure; relation; cognitive social capital and their career success.Finally, based on the theoretical model and the empirical analysis, this article analyzed the effect of conclusions on the actual management and knowledge workers’own career development in High-Tech Enterprises; put forward the deficiency of the paper and points out the prospect of research for the future.
