Study On The Relationship Between Knowledge Acquisition,Absorptive Capacity And Innovation Capability Of High-tech Enterprises

The task for transforming economic development pattern and restructuring the economy becoming more arduous for China, and the resources environment constraints the economic development seriously. In recently years, by increasing the investment on the innovation of science and technology, China strives for developing high technology to form new economic growth engine. Accelerating the development of high-tech enterprises has very important meaning for promoting the sustainable economy, it can push on the adjustment and upgrad of industrial structure, enhance China's independent innovation capability and form international competitiveness.Knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive are characteristic of high-tech enterprises. To acquire and absorb external knowledge, transform external knowledge into internal knowledge and apply those knowledge to innovate, the high-tech enterprises can develop core competence which mainly composed of innovation capability.This research integrates the knowledge acquisition, absorptive capacity and innovation capability into an overall framework to investigate the the direct effects of knowledge acquisition and absorptive capacity on the innovation capability, discusses the bridging role of absorptive capacity in the relationship with knowledge acquisition,and innovation capability. In theory, the research is helpful for improving the innovation capability theory of enterprise and contributes to the relevant literature. In practice, through analyzing the influence of knowledge acquisition and absorptive capacity on the innovation capability of high-tech enterprise, the research demonstrates the mechanism of knowledge acquisition and absorptive capacity and is helpful for high-tech enterprise to take measures to obtain knowledge and enhancing its absorptive capacity, then it can offer some insighs to improve the innovation capability of high-tech enterprise.The research firstly reviews the related literature of knowledge acquisition,absorptive capacity and innovation capability, discusses the issues for further research.Then based on the theories of innovation theory and knowledge based theory, the research defines the meanings of knowledge acquisition, absorptive capacity and innovation capability and divides them into several dimensions. Secondly, the research develops a theoretical model and puts forward assumptions on the relationship between the related variables in the model. On these basis, the research designs an appraisal scale concerning knowledge acquisition, absorptive capacity and innovation capability. The research conducts exploratory factor analysis on the first collected small sample data, deletes those items which have poorly explaination.and refines the items of the scale; through the confirmatory factor analysis on the secondly collected large sample data, the research confirms the reliability and validity of the scale. Based on structural equation model and econometrical model, the research tests the assumptions in the theoretical model and get the testing results of the assumptions.Finally, the research discusses the testing results, reveals the reasons why the assumptions is supported or not supported,and gets the enlightenment on the innovation capacity of the high-tech enterprise.The innovation of this dissertation includes: (1)Dividing the knowledge acquisition into two dimensions: explicit knowledge acquisition and tacit knowledge acquisition from the perspective of knowledge attributes, analyzing the relationship between knowledge acquisition, absorptive capacity and innovation capability comparing the effects of explicit knowledge acquisition and tacit knowledge acquisition on the innovation capability. (2) In the study of influence of knowledge acquisition on the innovation capability, considing the direct effects and the mediating role of absorptive capacity.
