Research On The Project Progress Management Of Baosteel Science And Technology Management System

Since completely carrying out the National12th Five-Year Plan and going deep into development of innovative enterprises, for long-term view, innovation is the lifeblood and inevitable choice to survive in the fierce market for development of enterprise.Like many other manufacturers, Baosteel confronts with such challenges as unbalanced supply and demand, expensive material, fierce cost competition, energy shortage, and environmental policy restrictions in its development. Facing severe marketing situations, Baosteel always takes the strategy which is to become the most competitive steel company in the world and holds out for Premium Products&Scale as the development mode, while following the way of opening self-integrated innovation and forging digitized Baosteel. Therefore, it is propitious to support the technology innovation, turn challenge into opportunity and hold out for competitiveness to construct a highly flexible and integrative science and technology management system (refer to BeS) to fulfill technology innovation.This paper is about project progress management of BeS. By using the relative theory of project management, a systematical research on project progress management of BeS in Baosteel has been made. This paper consists of6parts. Part1proposes the research thought, main contents and methods according to the characteristics of BeS project. Part2summarizes the definition and development course of project management, and knowledge system of project management as the theoretical basis of this paper. Part3discussed the start up process of BeS in Baosteel, showing its necessity and feasibility. Part4put forward the project needs and progress plan combining the target of BeS and the project management theory, including the progress plan objective, structure decomposition, cooperation and project progress schedule. Then, it discussed the implementation of BeS project, and elaborates the results and duty of project progress plan and the progress management of project implementation process. Part5discussed the control of Bes project, such as the establishment of progress control system, progress tracking and schedule adjustment, etc. Part6is the conclusion and outlook of the paper.
