| To search for new economic growth mode, and realize sustainable development has been the common challenge for human being. As an integral part of social system, the corporate is required to take the obligations of a corporate citizen, and be responsible for all stakeholders. However, currently in China, corporate citizenship construction is far from being satisfactory. To build and enhance the consciousness of corporate citizenship, and apply it to practice is of strategic significance for companies.In this paper, the author first studies the theory development and practice of corporate citizenship both home and abroad, clarifies the concept of corporate citizenship, its correlation and discrepancy with corporate social responsibility. Based on this, the author then watches closely at the corporate citizenship construction of VANKE Group Co.(hereinafter referred to as VANKE). On one hand, VANKE actively takes its responsibilities to all stakeholders, i.e. investors, employees, customers, partners, the environments and society. On the other hand, there are also problems existing. The author makes thorough analysis on these problems, and gives her solutions accordingly, such as to promote the building of its corporate citizenship construction team, to conduct corporate citizenship training, and to solicit support from the governments, etc.By applying these solutions, the author hopes that VANKE may overcome its problems, and go further on corporate citizenship construction. Meanwhile, this paper will help to spread the concept of corporate citizenship, and be of reference value for other companies in corporate citizenship construction. |
